The Sunset & Sunrise of Angkor Wat

Wathching the Sunrise and the Sunset at Angkor Wat is what I would definetely describe as beyond compare to anything in this world. As soon as you reach the top view of Angkor Wat, it makes you feel like you're life has been complete in a fraction of minute, everything around you speaks nothing but freedom and the amazing scenery is breathtaking. For me, It's the most satisfying and rewarding experience ever. Its a great way to end your trip, until the next time around! ;)

At this point, life to me seems clearer than ever! its an amazing journey and it would always remain in me forever. Its precisely clear that there are no bondaries between man and nature, but sometimes we tend to overlook the beauty of it.......... This is a 'must-see' place. ;) I don't think words are enough to describe the magnificent wonder of this place!

Plan is to get up at 5:00 am, get the hotel to pack your breakfast box, leave with your tuk-tuk driver at 5:30, reach at 6 am and wait for the sun to rise at 6:30... Its just perfect to begin your day, unless you're piss from the night before, don't think it would help to focus clearly... !!!!

This is the Sunrise at 6:30 am .. the Angkor Wat is reflected on the 'HOLY POND OF PRECINCT'

At the entrace gate of the Angkor Thom. Tickets must be purchased the day before for viewing of temples the day after.

Elephant ride down the hill

Uneven stone steps. This time its not scarier anymore! still people climb it like spiders!

On top of the hill, another temple to climb to, from there the sun shone down on us!

Tourist waited patiently for the Sun to go down! everyone's focus directly to the sun! ;)

I could stay here forever! ... ha ha ;)

Amazing, its actually the first I'd watched the sunset and being in cambodia just to watch it was so much worth it! I would definetely do it again!!!

The sun is setting and I am just so so excited about it!, although I didn't want the day to end so soon! ;)

SUNSET VIEW! very remarkable and so peaceful!

Hot air ballon for 12$ an hour stands still and can carry upto 30 people for a good view of the whole of Angkor.

The outer limit of Angkor Wat are set by its broad moat, faced in laterite and sandstone. Including this, the total area is almost 200 hectares - a rectangle of 1.5 km E-W by 1.3 km N-S, the largest temple of Angkor.

Tourist waited patiently for the Sunset while admiring the great view of the whole Angkor Wat.

The elephant ride from down the hill
